The Rules of Procedure for Environmental Assessment and Environmental Impact Review Proceedings are intended to ensure that the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board’s practice and procedures for environmental assessment and environmental impact review Proceedings fulfill the intent, principles, and requirements of the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act (the Act), particularly Part 5 of the Act. The Rules are also intended to ensure that Review Board Proceedings, including Public Hearings, are fair, focused, effective, and meet the needs of Parties, members of the public, and the Review Board.
