On April 1 2023, the Departments of Lands and Environment and Natural Resources will merge to create the new Department of Environment and Climate change. This merger requires the 2014 delegation instruments to be revoked, and a new delegation instrument to be established. The new delegation delegates certain powers, duties and functions under the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
