This proposed project is a 1220-kilometre natural gas pipeline system along the Mackenzie Valley which will connect natural gas production from three fields in the Mackenzie Delta to the existing pipeline grid in Alberta.

After the environmental assessment of this project was completed it was referred by the Review Board to an environmental review. Because of the transboundary nature and scale of the project, the review was conducted by the Joint Review Panel, set up under the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act. The Joint Review Panel published its completed report on December 30, 2009, which may be downloaded here.
